The person behind IMC

Hi, I'm Ankur. I started IMC with a simple idea: music feels better when it's shared. A few years later, that idea has grown into a community of thousands.

Decks, deadlines, and daily standups. By day, it’s strategy, collaboration, and plenty of coffee. A different stage, but somehow I’m still smiling by 6pm.

The boardroom taught me to read a room. The stage taught me to own it.

🎀 On stage

I started IMC with a few weekend jams and a simple belief: music isn’t just meant to be listened to. It’s meant to heal, to be felt, shared, and sung together.

Music isn't what I do after work, it's why I survive work.

Bridging the gap between the stage and the crowd, India Music Collective creates a space where everyone belongs.Whether you're taking a break from a busy week, looking for your people, reliving memories through old songs, or simply here for the joy of singing your heart out, this is for you.No judgment. No pressure. Just music, connection, and a room full of people who get it.

Frequently asked questions

What if I'm a bad singer?

Good. We're not auditioning for a record label β€” we're here to feel something. The "worse" you think you are, the more fun you'll have.

What's the age group to join?

If you can hum, you're in. We've got 4-year-olds who outshine the room and 80-year-olds who bring the house down.

I have severe social anxiety. Can i just sit and watch?

Of course. A lot of our most loyal members started exactly where you are β€” in the back row, arms crossed, slowly smiling. No rush, ever.

I'm coming alone. Will it feel awkward?

You will walk in alone, but you'll leave feeling like you're a part of a giant family.

Do i need to practice or prepare any song beforehand?

Nope. Empty hands, open heart β€” that's all the preparation you need.
